The
DAA is the logical continuation of the Virtual PPL School, an e-learning
service offered by Horizon since 2000. All our Distance Learning courses
Approved by the Federal Office for Civil Aviation FOCA. The
student is learning at home with the most sophisticated documentations
available, consisting of books, CDs, additional handouts, and
homework. The
students are trained by the Horizon Tele Tutors, ground instructors
specialized in distance learning, trained by the University of Amsterdam
for these special tasks.
Classroom
seminars (three weeks) are held frequently at Horizon's premises. There, the
students receive 120 hours classroom instruction in all subjects for
refinement and general review. After
successfully passing an internal test, the student is ready for the FOCA
exam.
