Training
at Horizon: Why?
Several good reasons
contribute to the fact, that more than 4000 pilots have chosen the Horizon
training concept.
Theoretical training
As the only flight academy,
Horizon offers conventional theoretical classroom training and
distance learning courses on all levels, PPL,
CPL,IR, and ATPL. Additionally, any conceivable variants up to
HPA, are to be found on our course list. The
well-structured, homogeneous syllabi are to the student's advantage. Our
e-learning platform for all students is known almost word-wide. It offers
possiblities which greatly enhance training. This leads to above-average
examination results.
Practical training
At first sight, the offerings
in the simulator field are difficult to compare. Particularly here, the
differences are significant. While 20 hours can be logged towards
the instrument rating in some devices, the Horizon simulator
(equipped with a "real" instrument panel) allows the student to log 40
hours! The small price difference is more than made up in favour of
student's training.
Additionally, efficient
dispatch of our fleet and simulators with an
electronic
reservation system allows us to keep training cost as low as possible.
Further training
The higher
technical college aims for the recgonition of pilot as a profession
through the Swiss authorities. Ab-initio models are offered as well as
modules for pilots with JAR CPL-IR or ATPL licences.
