Practical Training Instrument Flight/Multi Engine

DA42 Twin Star and D-SIM-42 NG

40 of the required 55 training hours are performed in the simulator, the most efficient way to obtain the required level. Sessions can be scheduled very easily and the cost factor plays an important role, too. Training is not affected by weather or other restrictions.
Learning success can only be achieved with a well-structured syllabus. The Operations Manual divides training into twelve stages. Horizon’s know-how assures, that the student is fully trained in the best possible way towards the demanding flying on instruments.

Upon completion of simulator training, the transition to the twin engine DA42 Twin Star is made. Training concludes with the official check ride. Practical commercial pilot and instrument training together with the theoretical ATPL theory (classroom or distance learning) lead to a “frozen ATPL” licence. The frozen ATPL is a prerequisite for an application with any commercial air carrier.
